Estany de la Nou
It is one of the most beautiful and least frequented high-mountain lakes in Andorra. Located in the upper reaches of the Madriu-Perafita-Claror Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it sits in a completely alpine and very isolated setting. It's perfect as the destination of a long hike or as a halfway point towards higher peaks in the area. It's also a popular spot for recreational trout fishing, especially fly fishing. Nearby are the Claror and Pedrafita mountain huts, where you can stay overnight (they are free).
