Laguna el Alto
An incredible mid-mountain lagoon in the Altos de Lircay National Reserve with breathtaking views. We only made it to the Laguna El Alto viewpoint. We didn't go down to the lagoon because there was some snow on the final stretch. The route involves a considerable climb from the Altos de Lircay National Reserve reception area. You'll see several small, unnamed lagoons and the largest and most characteristic one in the reserve. Depending on the season, it might be frozen, thawing, or completely snow-free.
