Ventanas de Tisquizoque Waterfalls
Waterfall 1 of the Ventanas de Tisquizoque is one of the first big waterfalls you come across at the start of the route, surrounded by wild vegetation, huge rock walls and small caves formed by the constant flow of the river. The setting is amazing and very humid, with a totally jungle-like atmosphere.
Although this spot corresponds to the first waterfall of the route, there are other trails that continue up the mountain and go around the whole Ventanas de Tisquizoque area, reaching higher waterfalls, giant caverns and hidden caves through which the river passes. Some of these trails are quite a bit more demanding and slippery, but they let you discover much wilder and less-visited areas.
