Kerid Crater
It's a volcanic crater located in southwest Iceland, famous for its perfectly circular shape and the turquoise lake inside.
It's a very accessible spot on the Golden Circle tourist route. You can walk around the crater rim along an easy path that offers different perspectives of the lake from above. It's not possible to descend into the crater itself, but the upper path is pleasant.
Although it's a beautiful and interesting place, especially due to its obvious volcanic origin, it's not one of Iceland's most breathtaking landscapes.
