Fauskasandur
It's a really cool black sand beach, perfect for a quick stop on the road. What makes it special is the pillar in the middle of the beach.
Plus, the whole setting is stunning, with mountains that reach right down to the sea and a great atmosphere. It's usually not crowded, so you can stroll peacefully along the beach and enjoy the place. It's a simple but really cool spot. There's a viewpoint at the top, and then you can walk down to the beach.
