Lukla Airport
It's the gateway to the Khumbu Valley and the Everest trek. It's one of the world's most iconic airports, thanks to its short runway and its location high in the mountains, making both takeoff and landing truly spectacular.
Beyond its fame, it's a fully operational and tightly controlled airport, used only when weather conditions permit. Flights are in small planes, making the journey more intense, but also incredibly special because of the breathtaking views of the Everest massif.
