Cascata das Lombadas

It's one of those hidden waterfalls that's truly worth the effort. The valley is lush with vegetation, and steam rises from the ground due to the volcanic activity of São Miguel. Access isn't easy, and the trail to the waterfall is quite challenging, but simply driving through this area and seeing it in the distance makes the spot absolutely breathtaking.
