Lagoa do Vento
The best waterfall in Madeira. Hands down.
I don't know why, but it's almost never crowded. Probably because it's more secluded and requires a bit of a detour, while everyone else stays at the typical waterfalls like 25 Fontes or Risco.
The waterfall is breathtaking. It plunges with tremendous force, and because of the wind (hence the name), the spray swirls through the air, creating a truly incredible effect. If you go on a clear day, a rainbow even appears in front of the falls.
