Pico do Areeiro
A legendary viewpoint in Madeira for sunrise and sunset, with clouds below creating a sea of clouds. No need to walk; you're up in 5 minutes from the parking lot.
It's usually quite crowded, but it's still well worth the trip. The PR1 trail, which connects to Pico Ruivo, one of the most famous on the island (when it's open, which it has been since April 2026), starts here.
