Fortress of Faial
Another viewpoint unlike the typical Madeira scenery. You don't come here for waterfalls or cliffs, but for the fortifications, the mountain opposite Faial, and the sweeping views of the Atlantic. There are cannons, walls, and the village of Faial right below.
If you catch sunrise, the sun rises directly in front of the mountains, illuminating everything—a clear, uncrowded scene.
