Refugi de Montgarri
An isolated historic complex in the middle of the mountains. It's one of those places that surprises you with its location: a refuge with a restaurant, meadows all around and a total feeling of being far from everything, despite being a very accessible route.
For much of the way you walk among alpine meadows and wooded areas, with constant views of the valley and the mountains surrounding Beret. In summer it's very common to see horses and livestock roaming free, which gives it a very authentic and peaceful air.
