El Carmel Bunkers

If there's one place that never fails for bringing someone from out of town, it's this one. You go up to the Turó de la Rovira and suddenly you have the whole of Barcelona at your feet. You see the perfect design of the Eixample with its straight, perpendicular streets, the Sagrada Família standing out among the buildings, the sea in the background, Montjuïc, and even the Camp Nou.

It's the typical viewpoint where there's always a good atmosphere. People sitting on the wall, music in the background, beers, really top sunsets. In case you're interested, they're bunkers built in 1937 during the Spanish Civil War to defend Barcelona from the bombings.
