Cape Finisterre Cross
It's one of those places that impresses you the moment you arrive. It's perched on a point completely exposed to the Atlantic, with open views across the entire bay and the endless expanse of the sea. It's a truly iconic spot, built in 1853, and especially significant because for many people it marks the true end of the Camino de Santiago.
From the parking lot, you can easily walk to the lighthouse, and if you continue a little further to the tip, you'll find the cross, which adds an even more symbolic and special touch to the place. The views from there are breathtaking.
I was lucky enough to see it on an incredibly clear day, but I've also experienced it shrouded in thick fog… and it's completely different. In the fog, the place becomes much more dramatic, more striking, almost mystical. The wind usually blows strongly, and being so exposed, everything feels more intense. It's a tourist destination, yes, but it has something that makes it magical nonetheless.
