Lake Oeschinensee
Lake Oeschinen is one of the country's most iconic lakes and is very close to Kandersteg. It's a stunning place, with the lake completely surrounded by cliffs and its blue water making it spectacular. The entire setting, with the trees and mountains, creates an incredible landscape.
Upon arrival, there's a fairly large picnic area, and from there you can continue along the left side of the lake until you reach a well-known viewpoint, a classic photo spot that's a real gem.
It's quite popular, so it gets very crowded in the summer or on sunny days, but it's still absolutely worth the visit.
