Forcella Denti di Terrarossa
This is a spectacular mountain pass situated next to some truly impressive rock faces. It's accessed from Alpe di Suisi, and the views are truly incredible. From here, you can enjoy both the green meadows and the stunning rocky mountains right beside you.
The climb is also really cool, as the trail winds its way up the mountainside in several S-shaped curves. It's quite accessible and presents no technical difficulties other than the steep incline.
It appears snowy in the photos because there was a storm the day before, but it's usually not like this in summer.
From this pass, it's well worth continuing on to Refugi Alpe di Tires, a very iconic mountain refuge in the area. The path connecting the pass to the refuge goes through a narrow section with a ravine alongside, but it's straightforward and doesn't involve any technical sections.
The views from here at sunrise or sunset must be absolutely breathtaking.
