Annapurna Base Camp
Annapurna Base Camp is the final and most iconic point of the trek, located at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters. It's a spectacular place because you're completely surrounded by giant mountains in a rather arid environment, which makes it all the more breathtaking.
From here, you have incredible views of Machapuchare and the entire Annapurna massif, which is right in front of you and looks enormous. The feeling of being there, surrounded by peaks over 6,000 meters high, is awe-inspiring.
You first arrive in the area marked by the typical base camp flags, and if you continue a little further, you reach the base camp itself, where there are some houses, small hostels, and a few restaurants. Even so, the best part is the surroundings and exploring the area, especially towards Machapuchare, which boasts some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region.
