Askorriaga Fortification
A fantastic viewpoint just 30 minutes from Gorliz beach. I loved it for the striking contrast of green hillsides cascading down to cliffs, the Cantabrian Sea in the background, and, on clear days, the Bilbao skyline on the horizon. It's best visited when the weather is nice. It's a place to stop, sit for a while, and simply admire the scenery.
