Pla de Beret
It is one of the large open spaces of the Val d'Aran. It is a wide, high mountain plateau surrounded by peaks with alpine meadows crossed by streams.
In summer, it is common to see horses and cows grazing freely. It is a perfect place to stop, walk on gentle slopes, or simply sit and admire the scenery. More challenging routes also begin here, leading to peaks and areas such as Montgarri, Tuc de Parros, and Tuc de Baciver.
In winter, the entire Pla de Beret is transformed into Nordic and alpine ski slopes, forming part of the Baqueira-Beret ski area. Even so, the area can be freely enjoyed for ski touring, mountaineering, snowshoeing, or simply walking in the snow.
