Valle de los Cactus
The Valley of the Cactus is a valley formed in the Guatín area, where the river carves a path through a multitude of large cacti that line both sides of the trail.
It's not the most breathtaking spot in the area, but it works very well as a stop to end the day because the surroundings are different from what you normally see on the high plateau. You're literally walking among towering cacti as you follow the course of the Guatín River, which adds a lot of charm to the walk.
The path gradually descends along the river, so it's easy to follow and the walk feels quite natural. Halfway along or at the end of the trail, there's a waterfall area where you can stop and even take a dip if you like.
