Salar de Quisquiro
The Quisquiro Salt Flat is the last salt flat on this high-altitude route before reaching the border with Argentina. It's a fairly open area, drier than other salt flats in the region, with a high concentration of salt and sand, and a landscape that differs considerably from the previous ones.
It's located at about 4,300 meters (14,300 feet), so the altitude is noticeable, and it's advisable to acclimatize beforehand.
It's not a place for many activities: it's mainly about stopping and enjoying the scenery. The surroundings are quite beautiful due to the sense of remoteness and the vastness of the valley.
