Jökulsárlón Glacier Beach
The beach area in front of Jökulsárlón is a really cool spot to see the glacier without paying for a tour. From here you have direct views of the entire lagoon with the icebergs and the glacier in the background, in a very open and peaceful setting.
It's a simple but fantastic plan, perfect for stopping, walking around the area, or even taking a quick dip if you fancy it, although the water is freezing.
