Gerupuk Inside
Gerupuk is one of the most popular waves for learning to surf in Lombok. It's a fairly gentle and consistent right-hander almost year-round, which is why it's always packed with beginners, surf schools, and boats. The downside is precisely that: sometimes there are too many people in the water, and it can be a bit overwhelming. Even so, for improving, building confidence, and surfing easy waves in tropical waters, it's a really cool spot.
