Pelawangan
A key stop if you do the 2-day / 1-night trek to Mount Rinjani. This is where you sleep before the final push to the summit the next day. A tough but amazing place.
You usually arrive around 4–5pm, the porters set up camp and you're left with the best part: the sunset. You have Lake Segara Anak right below, and the sun going down straight ahead, hiding behind the crater rim. The landscape gets really intense.
