Mawi Surfbreak
Mawi is a powerful and fairly wild surfbreak in the south of Lombok that works with little swell, with long lefts for manoeuvring and fast, hollower rights.
You get there after about 35–45 minutes from Kuta with the last stretch along a pretty rough dirt track, especially in the wet season, but which is totally worth it if you're a mid-to-high level and looking for a powerful session. It can get quite crowded.
