Laguna Torre

Laguna Torre is a glacial lake with direct views of Cerro Torre, one of the most iconic peaks in all of Patagonia, especially in the El Chaltén area.
The lake marks the beginning of the glacier, so it's quite common to see icebergs floating in it. The spot is stunning, but to see it properly you need a clear day, because it's very common for low clouds to get caught on these towers and obscure the view.
It's a great full-day outing, for example, after watching the sunrise from Mirador de las Águilas (Eagles' Lookout). The distance is long but there's not much elevation gain, so it's quite manageable.
Also, once you arrive, you can continue a little way along the right side of the lake and partially circle it. A great idea: buy bread and cheese in town and enjoy it here peacefully in front of the lake.
