Lago Cabrera
Lake Cabrera is accessible from Hornopirén and is a good option for a half-day or full-day trek, but don't expect anything spectacular.
The trail is quite beautiful because you're immersed in forest the whole time, very typical of this area of southern Chile, with high humidity and lush greenery. Once there, you can enjoy views of the Yates Volcano and also the Hornopirén Volcano.
Upon reaching the lake, there's a small area with memorial-like structures from a former community (I think it was a mining community), and some boats nearby. It's a nice place to stop, rest, and wander around, but it's not particularly remarkable compared to other spots in Patagonia.
Overall, it's more of a hike to enjoy the surroundings than a specific place that will blow you away.
