Mirador Alto Glaciar Exploradores
The Exploradores Glacier High Platform is located within Laguna San Rafael National Park and is one of the viewpoints along the Exploradores Glacier trail.
The trail skirts the side of the former glacier, although today much of it is no longer ice as such, but rather the area left behind after its retreat. Even so, the scenery remains excellent, as you can see the entire glacial tongue rising towards the Northern Patagonian Ice Field.
From this platform, you have excellent views, including Mount San Valentín, the highest peak in all of Patagonia. You can also appreciate the entire structure of the glacier and the moraines, which provides a good understanding of the area.
That said, while this platform is good, the lower platform is generally more impressive.
