Aorangi Forest Park
A great beach to watch the sunset after Putangirua Pinnacles. It's a wild coastline with cliffs, dark sand, rough seas, and wide-open landscape. Very unspoiled and with a beautiful natural feel. You can surf along this coast at spots like Lake Ferry Beach, Whatarangi, and Palliser Bay.
